As April 12th is getting closer, answers to questions about destination and distribution are still distanced.
In my opinion, crucial issues of the agenda still remain undiscussed: this is an unregulated and uncontrollable area for the time being. Although there might be publishers that report better results, the tendency to create more content for the social web (hence, relying exclusively on a few distribution companies) radically shifts the balance among publishers, readers and data giants like Facebook, Google, Amazon and so on.
Publishers need to strongly address the issue or decide whether they will soon -if not already- be facing something totally different than ‘journalism’.
